Project NEPTUNE
Project NEPTUNE is a University of Washington (and collaborators) program that intends to "wire" the seafloor off-shore BC, Washington, and Oregon. The intent of the program is to collect real-time data of mid-ocean ridge (see Ch 3 for explanation) activity. This data includes earthquake, volcanic eruptions, and seafloor biology.
Go to the following link (under Research), and notice on the right side of the page, at the top of the column of Highlights, there is a very colorful, detailed schematic of the subsurface geology of the ocean floor between the Juan de Fuca ridge, and the west coast of North America, at the latitudes of BC, Washington, and Oregon:
