User roles and abilities
As an instructor, you are able to choose the roles of people you add to your course. The role with full access is Teacher, while other roles have certain restrictions outlined below.
Generally, it is important to know whom you have given access to course information, particularly sensitive information like student work and student grades. It may be helpful to discuss the roles and capabilities that you grant to another colleague when granting them access to your course site.
As a reminder, instructors cannot add students to courses. Students are added to courses automatically to match their registration through the student services course registration system.
