Final essay

A 6-8 page double-spaced paper on a topic of your choosing which has been approved by me. "Liturgical Music in the USA" is not a good topic. "Choosing liturgical music for Advent" is. The topic should be narrow enough in focus for the scope of this paper. References may be in either footnote (Chicago/Turabian) form or parentheses, I do expect to see some secondary references as well as primary references if appropriate. 

   I have not assigned the Vatican instruction on inculturation (Varietates Legitimae), Liturgy Docs. 3, pp. 488-517 for next week but you might want to give it a glance. The one-page paper should focus on the two Chupungco pieces as well as either Egbulem or Matovina.
