Midterm Format

Note that you will be required to know all the vocabulary words on Sheets 1-6.

PART A

Various paradigms (nouns, verbs, adjectives, demonstratives, personal pronouns, interrogative pronouns, numerals)

PART B

Parsing and translating sentences. Parsing means that for certain underlined words, you will be required to provide the following grammatical information: 

(nouns, demonstratives) case, number, gender

(adjectives) case, number, gender, strong or weak

(personal pronouns) person, number, case

(verbs) person, number, tense, mood

PART C

Sight translation. This will be a short passage of Old English, which you should translate into idiomatic modern English. Any words not on the Vocab sheets will be provided in a glossary.
