Quizzes

Starting in Week 2, you will write weekly grammar quizzes and, after the first few weeks, the quizzes will include sight translation passages. There will be 11 quizzes in all, but I will drop the 3 lowest quiz grades and count the highest 8. Not only can you discard your lowest grades, but if you miss a quiz or three, you will not be penalized for it. By the same token, I will not give make-up quizzes. [Exception: doctor's or dean's note.] A missed quiz will count as a zero, and you can drop it at the end.
